Thanks to all of you who are posting in the new teaching group. We have created it as a great place for all of you to share, connect, and ask questions. I am sharing something new on there each day.
If you are not currently in the teaching group on Facebook, please consider joining. It is our original Teaching Group and contains years of posts and information that haven’t made it to our hosted Teaching Group, mentioned above.
I post videos daily that are great visual teaching tools, and I am here to answer any and all questions.
The support from other members is phenomenal in the group, too. One thing I do ask of you is that if you post here, copy and paste your post into our host Teaching Group as well.
A wealth of information can be found in the presentation booklet found on the ‘The Process Start Here‘ page! If you are new to the program, I highly recommend you review the Quick Start Guide and be sure to check out our new Launching Guide.
I recommend you print it out and refer to it often.
I have been putting in much extra work the past two months with the Learn with Mrs. Brown’s videos.
They are a work in progress, but the feedback I am getting is that your learners are really enjoying them and feel a true connection with me as a teacher.
I love hearing this, as this is my intention.
I encourage you all to utilize these videos. I have created a playlist to make it easy and we have also switched over to Vimeo, so there will be no ads or other videos popping up at the end!
I appreciate any and all feedback on these video sessions, so that I can improve on them in the future and also know all of this hard work is being put to good use!
The happy sheets, videos, and books are meant to be used all through the month and mix in packets and books from past months when it’s time to add more materials.
I wish you all a wonderful month of learning!
Mrs. Brown
We now offer a selection of Mrs. Brown’s Favorite Supplies that includes a list of printers, paper, markers, etc., as well as packs of our Books, Focus Spray and a Beginner Starter Kit in our Shop.
Happy Learning,
~Mrs. Brown
This Month’s Books and Happy Sheets
You can use the monthly packets bound as a booklet or individual in the choice work folder. Bind the books as hard copy reading books and as Read and Circle workbooks.
@Mrs_Brown Thank you for the videos each month. I pick up something each time I watch. I also enjoy how your including going over and incorporating your extra activities like questions and so on. I learn so much from them. Happy October!
Is there a way to make the October Happy Sheet Packet lesson by Mrs. Brown full screen on a desktop computer, or do they not enlarge? I feel like my learner is straining. I have exhausted all the “usual” ways I would make a video expand to full screen viewing.
@Laura-Liesl
Hi Laura, There is a play button, a progress bar, and a left pointing arrow on the very right of the progress bar. If you hover over that arrow, it will show an additional text button, ‘Show Controls’. Clicking on that will expand the progress bar area to show the additional controls, one being full screen mode. To hide the controls, hover over the now visible right pointing arrow on the left side of the progress bar and then click on the text ‘Hide Controls’. Hope that helps.
