Great overview and encouragement!
Even after almost 3 years with SoHTL, I really enjoyed the overview and encouragement! I think my experience with a child with DS is probably shared with others in this group. When Samuel was born, I felt like I was bombarded by people who told me, “you can’t.” I have two older kids, so I wasn’t a brand new Mom. However, I immediately had specialists and doctors and therapists who wanted to tell me how to feed my baby, how to help him develop, and all of that. On one hand, I’m sure I needed the help. But on the other hand, all of these smart people made me feel like I had no idea how to teach my child anything. I love that this video encourages all of us parents that we can teach our kids!

Any suggestions for how to keep track of what videos you have already watched? I need a system because I feel like I bounce around the site a lot and sometimes I’m like…’Oh, I already watched this one’

I try to make a point to “like” and briefly comment all the videos that I watch. It helps me know which ones I have watched and also sometimes reminds me of where I was in the journey when I watched the video the first time. It also gives me a time stamp for when I commented so I know if it has been a while and I might want to watch it again.
